The Dyrud's Great Adventure

Please pray for me (Rodney). The Bible says, "The prayer of a godly person is powerful. It makes things happen." I am going to MAF the first week of August to be re-evaluated in flight; if I am going to fly with MAF I must pass. I am going back to Tennessee for the last two weeks of July to get training in a C-206. Ron Royce, who was the chief flight instructor at Moody for 40 years is going to help me. Currently I am practicing on a Jeppsen simulator for the IFR portion, but I need to get my nose back in the books again. I am doing my best not to be anxious, but to pray. It is just difficult when what you have been working toward for so many years might slip through your fingers. I just have to trust God and take one day at a time. Please pray for me!

I can't believe that we will be celebrating a year of marriage this coming Sunday; time has flown by! I remember thinking about the days leading up to the wedding and feeling like it was taking forever :) Now that I look back, I am wondering where the time went. In honor of our anniversary, my sweet husband is taking me on a hot air balloon ride! This is something that I have always wanted to do and I am very excited. Rodney is preparing to go on a week long backpacking trip with his friend Donivan during the first week of July and then he is taking off on the 19 th for Tennessee. As the old saying goes, "Time flies when you're having fun!"

It's finally going to happen! Rodney is going to Tennessee on the 19th of July to fly with Ron Royce for two weeks; after that he will go straight to Idaho (where I will meet him) to re-do the flight portion of the MAF evaluation during the first full week of August. My pregnancy is going well and we are eagerly anticipating Baby's arrival in early October :) Thanks for all of the prayers and support that we are receiving; we couldn't do this alone!
