Rodney's 1st week in Tennessee

Image
I talked to Rodney this morning and he is feeling much more confident about flying! He and Ron have managed to spend 10 hours in the air during the last week, which is a praise, considering the unpredictable weather. Rodney is going to try and get a few more hours in a flight simulator that is located at the airport before he returns to Idaho, since this is also something that he will be tested in at MAF. Thanks again to all of our family and friends who are praying and supporting us financially; we are overwhelmed with the love and generosity and count it a privilege that you are partnering with us in this endeavor!

Rodney's time in Tennessee

Hello again! I have talked to Rodney several times this week and he is in good spirits, enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Tennessee. He was able to fly for 3.5 hours yesterday since the weather was better; he is grateful for this flight time before he returns to MAF on Saturday, August 2nd. Thunderstorms seem to come and go, so he and Ron keep a close eye on the weather and fly at every opportunity. Rodney and I became an aunt and uncle on Monday as my sister Shannon gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Emily Faith. She was 8lbs, 12oz and 21 inches long; everyone is doing fine and we are excited for the new addition to the family.

Rodney made it!

Rodney made it safely to Tennessee after his all night flights. The weather is hot and humid and there are predictions of thunderstorms all week long. Rodney would appreciate your prayers for good flying weather. He is staying in a cabin that is owned by Dr. Larry and Carol Graham, who are somehow related to Billy and Ruth Graham. He met with Ron Royce today, who is eager to help bring Rodney back up to speed on his flying before we return to MAF the first week of August. Thanks for your prayers and support!

Life keeps going

Rodney and I had a great time on the hot air balloon ride that we took to celebrate our anniversary! It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before; so quiet and peaceful in the air. We even saw a beautiful sunset over the ocean at Del Mar before we landed. It was great :) Rodney had a good time backpacking in the High Sierras this last week with his friend Donivan and now he is preparing to leave for Tennessee on the 19th of this month. My pregnancy continues to move along smoothly and we are excited to meet our baby in October or whenever Baby decides to arrive!
