Almost two weeks old

Sometimes it feels like the weeks have gone fast since we got home from the hospital. Justice will be two weeks old on Sunday and he is already growing and changing so much. To me, he doesn't look like a newborn any more, he just looks like a baby. He seems so big in his bassinet; I wonder how long it will be before he moves into a crib. I am staying busy being at home with Justice and trying to keep up with all of our mission's paperwork and Bible Studies that need to be completed before we go back to Idaho in January.

Rodney (Shannon's husband) arrived home yesterday after a nine month deployment with the Navy; it was his first time to see Emily and I'm sure they are enjoying being together as a family again.

I can't believe it's already October; time flies when you're having fun!

Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
