Justice walking

Meet David, Brenda and Tabitha Marsh. David is a language school student and a Registered Nurse. Their family will be going to the Congo Republic with Global Outreach in January of 2010, but for now, Brenda will be babysitting Justice while Rodney and I are in class.

We arrived in Sherbrooke, Quebec on Monday afternoon and we've spent the week getting our apartment set up before we start school next Wednesday. Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. This means no more mass e-mails :) People can subscribe to the blog and then everytime we post something, it will be sent to you automatically as an e-mail (at least, that's the idea, if we can figure it out). ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
