Changes

As most people know by now, Jaycee's surgery had to be re-scheduled because she had an ear infection so the surgeons didn't want to operate on May 3rd. So the surgery has been set for Thursday, May 24th at 5pm. We are praying and working hard to keep Jaycee healthy for the next two weeks before her surgery. Rodney is currently in Idaho and he'll join us in CA briefly for Jaycee's surgery. It's hard to be apart during this time, but once again we are thankful for our families here in CA and for Skype so that we can chat and see Rodney while we're separated. The kids are enjoying all the new toys at the grandparent's houses and it's been great to spend time with family as we await the surgery. As always, we are appreciate of your prayers and support as we face this next step in our lives :-)

Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. This means no more mass e-mails :) People can subscribe to the blog and then everytime we post something, it will be sent to you automatically as an e-mail (at least, that's the idea, if we can figure it out). ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
