A wonderful visit with Grandpa and Nana

This week we enjoyed a wonderful visit with my (Tammi) parents! They flew from California to Idaho and we got to show them around 'Mayberry', I mean, Nampa :-) The weather was 'nice' while they were here (we had everything from sunny and 70 degrees to overcast and 50 degrees in a three day span) and we enjoyed days at the park feeding the ducks and bike rides around the neighborhood. Mom and I also discovered a great coffee place here called Dutch Brothers (they make a chocolate coconut coffee drink that is TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!) so I think I've found a new vice ;-)

Dad and Mom flew back to California last night and Jaycee kept asking if she could go on the airplane too; she even gave Nana her pretend ticket and said "Okay, here my ticket. Me go Bumpa and Nini's house".

Thanks for coming out Dad and Mom! We love you and miss you already :-)

Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
