Been a while

It's been a little while since I've written anything........... almost 6 months :-) We enjoyed a wonderful summer, having vacation time with friends, visiting family for Father's Day, taking swim lessons at the local rec center and jumping back into homeschooling in August.

I can't believe that my (not so little anymore) Buddy Boy Justice will be 6 this coming Sunday! He is so full of life and energy (sometimes I wish he would share some with me) :-) He loves to memorize his AWANA verses, loves to ride his bike, loves to see what is growing in our garden and most of all, LOVES to find spiders and bugs in the backyard (that must be a boy thing).

Jaycee enjoys being a lively 3 year old; she loves to follow her big brother around, loves to ride her bike and say her AWANA verses too. She likes to dance like a ballerina, loves the water (whether it's swimming or bath time or the sprinklers) and always enjoys playing 'pretend' with her kitchen and dress-up clothes and stuffed animals.

We are still enjoying nice weather...... the 80s and 90s are unusually warm for late September here in Idaho, but I'm not complaining! We are keeping busy with homeschool everyday, AWANA, Mothers of Preschooler groups and Bible Study groups at church and at MAF during the week. Rodney is always doing something challenging and fun in the hangar each day so there's plenty to talk about at dinner every night.

Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
