Winter happenings

Happy New Year; we hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas celebration with family and friends.
It was very cold last week here in Nampa (in the mid teens and twenties during the day) so we've been doing more indoor activities...... although the kids love to get bundled up and play outside for a few minutes :-)

Justice has been enjoying a Parkour class once a week (it's a great way for him to get his energy out!)

Jaycee enjoyed a 'Frozen' inspired dance class last week during Christmas vacation.

Today we started home school again and we are looking forward to starting our weekly activities too. The kids enjoy AWANA on Tuesday nights, we have a couple's Bible Study group that will start meeting on Monday nights in our home and I have a Homeschool Mom's Group that meets on Wednesdays. Rodney is keeping busy in the hangar with airplane inspections and lots of little parts that need to be counted and inventoried. And, of course, there's NFL post season football and the Super Bowl to look forward to................

Happy 2016 everyone!

HERE IT IS!

Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. This means no more mass e-mails :) People can subscribe to the blog and then everytime we post something, it will be sent to you automatically as an e-mail (at least, that's the idea, if we can figure it out). We hope this works as a good communication network to stay in touch with people. There is also a way for you to post comments on our blog.

ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
