Weather

Hello again from Nampa, Idaho. Rodney's flights are going well and he is feeling better about things than he did the last time we were here. Please pray again for good weather as he is slated to fly his cross country tomorrow and Nampa is expecting thunderstorms. Hopefully if they come tonight, things will be clear by the morning so that he can fly. I (Tammi) am enjoying my time in the office getting to know more staff members and volunteering wherever I can. Rodney would also appreciate your prayers as he prepares to be evaluated in the simulator on Thursday. We will know by Friday what our next step will be with MAF!

Well, we finally did it! We started a blog to keep people up-to-date on our lives both here and overseas (when we eventually get there). We can share pictures and tell people what is going on by posting our information on the blog. This means no more mass e-mails :) People can subscribe to the blog and then everytime we post something, it will be sent to you automatically as an e-mail (at least, that's the idea, if we can figure it out). ITS A BOY!

Tammi Lynne and Rodney Kent Dyrud had a baby boy last night Sun Sept 28,2008 at 11:46pm. His name is Justice Kent Dyrud; he is 8 lbs, 20 1/2 inches long and so far the health baby we (Tammi and I) have been praying for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Here is one of his first pictures. I am currently working on getting a video posted.

Spring/summer has arrived!

My first drink out of a big boy cup at almost 20 months old My first goatee..................... well, more like chocolate ice cream :) Today is our last holiday before the end of school. It has been in the 80s this weekend so we've started (finally!) putting away our scarves and hats and mittens and pulling out our shorts and tank tops. On Friday we went on a field trip to downtown Sherbrooke. We did a scavenger hunt where we had to ask people on the street (in French of course) to give us directions to certain buildings in the city. We were in five different teams and each team had different questions. Then we all got together at the end of the morning and shared our results; it was fun :-) We are also in the process of planning our trip back across the US at the end of June. We hope to see many family members and friends on our way back to California.
